cavalcade of lights 2021

Cavalcade of Lights will return to Toronto this year but there won't be any fireworks

Light festivals have become a staple in celebrating the holidays in the city and Toronto's beloved Cavalcade of Lights is returning to the city next month, except this year there won't be any fireworks.

After being cancelled last year due to restrictions, the annual event will be coming back to celebrate the holiday season.

Located at Nathan Philips Square, the event will be very different from previous years with reimagined festivities that encourage physical distancing.

The exact date has not yet been announced but the City of Toronto promised further detail will be released on Nov. 23.
