Tuesday Foodie

Toronto restaurants offer 30% discounts on Tuesdays

Move over Groupon and Winterlicious, there's now a new way to taste Toronto restaurants on the cheap. Tuesday Foodie. Running for three months starting January 2nd, a new discount card called Tuesday Foodie offers 13 chances for Toronto diners to get 30% off their meals at participating restaurants. The only catch? Well, there are two big ones:

  • The discount card costs $60 so there's an upfront fee to participate. But there are 13 Tuesdays available to take advantage of the discounts, so frequent diners will be able to more than make up for this initial investment.
  • Only 15 restaurants are currently participating. But the list isn't a bad one. There's The Bowery, Burger Bar, Czehoski and more. A full list is here.

The benefit for the restaurants, of course, is that they're likely getting a cut of the $60 fee, they get free advertising on the Tuesday Foodie web site and they get to fill some tables on what otherwise might be one of the slowest nights of the week.

But will you spring for it? Will you become a Tuesday Foodie? Let us know in the comments below.
