CBC Provides 300 Pounds of Juicy Promotions

Starting now at Yonge-Dundas Square, CBC-TV is giving away sandwiches made from the world's largest Halal chicken shawarma. All 300 lbs. of tender marketing savvy come with a side order of "hey, watch our new show", Little Mosque on the Prairie, a comedy expected to generate even more buzz -- articles have appeared in The NYT, The IHT, Maclean's, The Toronto Star and The Jerusalem Post -- when it premieres January 9. In fact, The Star and others now report that CNN's Paula Zahn "visited the Toronto set yesterday, for a segment to air tonight at 8 on CNN."

Hat tips to say it with pie and Torontoist, though I heard about this on CBC Radio as well.
