Police on the hunt for man who attacked 15-year-old in yet another violent TTC incident

Toronto police are on the hunt for a man who allegedly attacked a 15-year-old boy earlier this year at a TTC subway station, representing yet another violent incident on the transit system in just the past few months.

According to a news release issued Friday, police were called in for two assaults at North York Centre subway station on Jan. 30 around 12:50 p.m.

It's reported that a man assaulted at least two victims at the station. In one incident, the man allegedly grabbed a 15-year-old boy's glasses, smashed them, and threw them back at him.

In a separate incident, the accused spat on a man in his 50s in the platform area. Police did not reveal if the victims and the accused knew each other personally.

After the two assaults, the accused then boarded a subway train and fled southbound from the station.

The man is described as being in his mid-30s, 5'7'', and 170 lbs. He was last seen wearing a long black jacket, dark-coloured pants, a green toque, black shoes, and was carrying a black bag.
