What "Twitter" has to say about Rob Ford's Toronto mayoral victory

If you were to judge solely by the reaction on Twitter, you'd think Rob Ford and his team somehow managed to stuff all the ballot boxes on route to victory in Toronto's mayoral race last night. Tracking the #voteTO hashtag reveals a sea of astonished, frustrated and worried tweets, with hardly any congratulations or expressions of positivity offered to the city's next mayor.

When one considers the likely demographics of the majority of #voteTO users, this shell-shock shouldn't really come as that much of a surprise, but it is pretty fascinating to see how polarized the reaction is, especially in relation to the popular vote. Here's a selection of a bit of last night and this morning's action that I was able to get screen grabs of. I'll try to throw up a few more over the day, but if you noticed noteworthy or humorous election tweets last night -- whether they be tagged with #voteTO or not -- given 'em a link in the comments, and I'll add them to this post.
