Your morning news roundup for Monday November 5th, 2007:

The hoarding window is now closed and the TTC price hike is in effect. Tickets and tokens are now $2.25 (up $0.15) and monthly passes are $109 (up $9.25). The cash fare stays the same, at $2.75.

The TTC is saying that a recent flurry of muggings on the subway isn't indicative of an overall increase in crime on the red rocket. iPods continue to shout "Rob me."

If you just know that it's going to hurt, maybe you should see a veterinarian rather than your doctor because vets know more about pain than human doctors do.

A new public middle school for grade six and seven students focusing on the arts is in the works. It'll be close to, and share resources with, the Etobicoke School of the Arts specialized high school.

Thinking of installing a pool in your yard? New rules for pools might mean that homeowners will have to buy a little more fencing to make their pools legal, and safer.
