You couldn't tell if you ever walked through the Entertainment District at 2am on a Friday night, but apparently Torontonians are less likely to abuse drugs and alcohol than other Canadians.
Speaking of clubs and alcohol, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario took itself to court this week as a result of a disagreement between two branches of the board over the new club Circa.
Over 2,000 people from the arts community gathered yesterday to pay their respects to Richard Bradshaw, the director general of the Canadian Opera Company that passed away last week â a testament to the far-reaching influence of the celebrated director.
While the annual TIFF Press Conference may have been canceled for Bradshaw's funeral yesterday, the TIFF website should be updated within a few hours with the full film schedule. Expect more on the announcement on blogTO later this week.
In what sounds like a scene out of a Die Hard movie, Toronto police are warning residents to be careful when checking their mail after two explosive packages were delivered to households in the city.
