Canuck Walk of Fame Getting a Featured Spot

After years of mockery by locals, Canada's Walk of Fame is moving to a better home.

For years, the stars have spent their 8 months of not being covered in snow strewn along the north and south side of King West and hidden along shady Simcoe Street.

The Theatre District location won't change, naturally, but stars will go from being unimpressive sidewalk bumps I trip on on my way to work, to featured squares in a dedicated Walk of Fame area in Metro Park.

A local firm, pgm Design (the same firm creating "Poetry Park") came up with the concept which will include key details like the area being lit at all times with colourful lights (to mimic the Northern Lights -- 'cause you have no chance of seeing them otherwise around here) and snow removal year-round.

While the new plan it won't help tourists with their Canadignorant, "Who in tarnation is that?" comments, it'll at least give them a space filled with other star-gazers they can turn to for help.
