Cavalia Odysseo opens in Toronto

Cavalia Odysseo has returned to Toronto setting up under the can't-miss massive white tents at Cherry St. and Lakeshore Boulevard. The touring production, an equestrian-lover's dream, is back in Toronto for another season and last night opened its current run with its 800th performance.

Nearly 2,300 spectators braved the wet and muddy conditions to pack the White Big Top to take in the elaborate set design and choreography featuring more than 70 horses, acrobats and musical performances. It's a sight to behold even if just for the how-did-they-do that flips, jumps and other super-human body contortions.

Check out a selection of scenes from the show in our photo gallery.
