Sweat Art Show

Shot of Art: All about sweat

The folks over at Oz Studios certainly have their timing down pat. With the onset of a mid-July heatwave, what better time to check out series of works devoted to the various registers of that most basic substance — sweat? Composed of illustrations that examine the physical, ideological, and cultural notions of the substance, the artists generally take a playful approach to the subject matter, so no need to worry about any "tactile installations" or the like. And, believe it or not, the gallery was for the most part scent-free during the opening, save for what wafted in from the ice cream truck parked outside over the course of the night.

Sweat runs until July 29th. For more info about the show and participating artists, check out its Facebook event page. More photos of the show below.
